As a growing diverse church, our ministries are growing and diverse. As we see a need for a ministry, prayerfully, as God provides; we trust God to provide volunteers and provisions, we put new ministries in place.
Celebrate Recovery's purpose is to encourage fellowship and to celebrate God’s healing power in our lives as we work our way along the road to recovery. We become willing to accept God’s grace and forgiveness in solving our life’s problems, by working through the principles, and growing spiritually. We are freed from our hurts, hang ups and habits. This freedom creates a stronger personal relationship with our personal loving and forgiving higher power, Jesus Christ.
Celebrate Recovery (CR) meets every Tuesday evening. Dinner begins at 6:15. Worship and large group teaching service begins at 7:00, with small groups immediately following.
Breakfast and Bible (aka Sunday School)
Our adult Sunday school is a lively and dynamic group of individuals that meet most Sundays at 9:45. Topics include books of the Bible as well as growth topics. As our children increase in number a children's Sunday school will be added.
Take Hope to the Streets!
This community outreach happens on the 2nd Saturday of each month. It consists of packing 150-300 lunches, and 'taking hope to the streets!' by walking the streets of the west end of Huntington, in the area surrounding our church building. We are meeting our neighbors, sharing a meal, a prayer, a smile and the love that Christ first gave us! We are currently re-organizing this ministry and looking for volunteers. See Pastor Deb if you are interested.
So many women do not understand their worth comes from Jesus Christ. Abused, abandoned, broken, and struggling these women are working to survive in any way they can. Some are supporting children, some are just children themselves. This ministry has special blessing bags of hope, and outreach to women.
We believe that kids are gifts from God, blessings that should be nurtured and loved. Our Kid's Church does just that. As more children are experiencing the love of Jesus, and joining with us, we will provide more opportunities.
