Blessed Beyond Measure

Blessed beyond measure. I say it often. I believe it, I mean it.

How does a person acknowledge all the kindness and love shown to me last week? There really is no adequate way … I didn’t set out to pastor a church. It was not my goal. But God … had other plans. I argued with Him, you can see how well that worked! I told Him I was not the right person; I told Him I didn’t have enough experience; I told Him … everything I could think of that would be a good enough excuse for Him to see things MY way.

But God … knew better. He knew I could not do this, without the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit. It is with that Spirit I am blessed to be called here, to be the under-shepherd of this amazing group of people who call this place their home church. And then God... surrounded me with Barnabas encouragers, for the days I am disheartened, and ‘sheep-dogs’ to guard the edges and sound the warnings when the fiery darts of the enemy come in without warning. But most of all – and best of all – He has sent a whole multitude of people who love Jesus and who love others like Jesus did... and does. It is for all of you I am so very grateful.

Love God> Love People > Make Disciples. It's what we do, it’s what we are called to do. We love, because He first loved us. Others will know we are disciples of the Lord Most High because of our Love. I felt that Love for myself last Sunday.

Love is the best when it is shared. Thank you. Ya’ll did that sharing real good!

I love you; I am blessed to be …
