God Has A Plan and Purpose for You

If you know me at all, you know that I have experienced huge changes in my life. In the last 19 years, since surrendering and submitting my life to Christ, He has consistently challenged me, moving me from Colorado to West Virginia, given me a new life. In the last 3 years, the changes for me personally, in addition to the transformation of Madison Avenue Church of God are happening at lightening speed. One by one the God of Second Chances, the God who is the Great I AM, the God who told us that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8.28) has orchestrated movement, modifications, adjustments, revisions … into my life.

Not all easy ... in fact, many of the changes have been very difficult. But as I glance back to where I have come from … to what He has led me to … I have to just catch my breath … and praise His name! What an amazing God we serve!

I can sense God’s leading into another season of change. As I get older (I really don’t want to admit ‘older’!) it has gotten more challenging. But a couple of things I DO KNOW! In every circumstance, in every way, God has always been with me; He has taken care of me, provided all that was needed; and as the progression unfolded – guided and directed me through each step.

My task...listen. Stay in His Word. Be still when He says be still. Move when He says move. Am I perfect at that? Most assuredly not! But He is faithful, gracious and full of mercy. When I do glance back, I can see God’s great faithfulness. I can see His love poured out ... and His purposes fulfilled. It is easy to face the future with that knowledge and that God! So as I face the future and the changes I know are coming ... I know that even though I have just enough light for the step I’m on ... I have all I need. I am blessed beyond measure.

Praying for each of you,
Pastor Deb
